Mratt comes from the western part of Myanmar, in Rakhine State. He will be assissting at the Thailand Permaculture Convergence (IPC16) in Thailand, November 2026.

Mratt is from a farming family and grew in a rural community. He has proudly inherited the legacy of farming from his parents. He has been working as a farmer for the since 2014, gaining hands-on experience in both traditional and modern agricultural practices.

His region is facing serious challenges related to seed quality, food security and sovereignty as well as the overuse of chemical fertilizers. In response to that, he started collaborating with networks that promote natural local seeds and organic fertilizers.

Mratt’s goal is to support sustainable agriculture and help local farmers transition towards healthier, peaceful and more environmentally friendly farming systems.

He is also the founder of the “Permaculture and Sharing Network”, Myanmar.
