A working permaculture farm and living classroom in the rice fields of Maha Sarakham, since 2020

Rainbow Mountain Permaculture Farm is a living classroom and working landscape dedicated to sustainable, regenerative agriculture. Started in 2020 and set among the rice fields near Chiang Yuen in Maha Sarakham, the farm works alongside nature to heal the soil, harvest water passively and grow nutrient-dense food through thoughtful ecological design.

A particular focus is giving stray dogs and cats a place in farm life, protecting snakes and inviting other wildlife onto the land. The farm is also developing a meliponary of the native stingless bee Geniotrigona thoracica, with hive systems that can be used in orchards even where pesticides are sprayed, supported by pollinator forage plants that flower all year round.

Whether you are a curious neighbour, an aspiring permaculturist or someone looking to reconnect with the land, you are invited to explore the ecosystem and see how conscious design can transform a landscape.
