Panthera Thailand

Panthera Thailand is the country programme of Panthera, the international wild-cat conservation organisation. Panthera has supported partners in Thailand since 2016, and the Thailand programme was formally established in 2021. It now has a team of 29 conservation staff, with its published contact address in Kanchanaburi and Kritsana Kaewplang as Country Director.

The programme's work with farming communities takes a prevention-first approach to human-wildlife conflict, which includes facilitating agreements on sustainable forest use and supporting alternative livelihoods so that coexistence with wild cats becomes practical for the people living beside them. Its fishing-cat programme works in a landscape of shrimp farms, fish ponds and rice fields at Khao Sam Roi Yot, and the team includes a community researcher, a community engagement officer and a livestock officer.

Panthera Thailand takes part in IPC16 in November 2026 with a session on designing regenerative, wildlife-friendly farming villages.
