Govinda Sharma

Govinda Sharma is the founder of HASERA, a certified organic farm and permaculture learning centre in Nepal. He started practising permaculture in 1986 and began teaching it in 1993. Press coverage describes him as founder and chairperson of the Hasera Agriculture Research and Training Centre in Kavre, and as hosting Nepali and foreign groups at his farm for training in permaculture and other agricultural practices.

By his own account he has facilitated 578 short and long permaculture courses, 43 of them international Permaculture Design Courses, and has made 13 publications on organic farming and permaculture. He is a founder member of Nepal Permaculture Group, the national network of permaculture graduates in Nepal, and is involved with Organic Certification Nepal.
