Luke Smith

Luke Smith is a cofounder of Origins Co-op and works in regenerative design and development, ethical trade and multi-stakeholder engagement, with 20 years of experience. He has worked extensively with indigenous and peasant farming communities in Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia, and with brands in the food, beverage, cosmetics and fashion industries.

He has been co-lead of the Regenerative Rubber Alliance since 2022. Fellow Origins cofounder Michael Commons is also a co-lead. Origins is a platform cooperative that enables smallholder communities to trade regenerative supply on their own terms, and it works in long partnership with, and in service to, the Wanakaset Symbiosis Network in Thailand.
