Pavin Banternghansa

Pavin Banternghansa, known as Gun, is a co-founder of Terra Incognita and a landscape designer who positions permaculture as a planning framework for large-scale brownfield regeneration. His work focuses on the dynamic relationships between material resources, terrain, community and temporal change.

Since 2020 he has engaged with the post-mining transition of the Mae Moh Lignite Mine in Lampang, investigating how a sprawling extractive landscape can be reassembled into novel socio-ecological systems. He completed a Master in Landscape Architecture I AP with distinction at the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 2023, and Harvard lists him as a 2022-23 recipient of the Peter Walker and Partners Fellowship.
