Ecovillage network weaver and educator in Vietnam, co-founder of Project Awe

Thao Kin, whose full name is Thao Ngo, is an educator and network organiser based in Vietnam. She is known as Kin to colleagues, and she sits on the Network Stewards Circle of GENOA, the Global Ecovillage Network for Oceania and Asia.

She has worked in non-formal education since 2012, taking part in numerous projects in Vietnam as a coordinator, trainer, facilitator and course designer. That background now runs in two directions at once. She serves as eLearning Associate at Gaia Education and as Network Weaver for the Global Ecovillage Network in Oceania and Asia, work that spans the region rather than a single site.

Alongside the network roles she co-founded Project Awe, an intentional eco-community in northwest Vietnam set up around the question of how people might live in closer harmony with the earth. The project gives her regional and educational work a practical grounding in one place and one community.

She takes part in IPC16, the International Permaculture Convergence, in Thailand in 2026.
