Beyond Sustainability: A Thai Path to Self-Reliance
Chon Buri
Beyond Sustainability: A Thai Path to Self-Reliance is an optional learning excursion on 9 and 10 November 2026, between the IPC16 Conference and the IPC16 Convergence. It is organised by Pilgrimage Asia with the Mab Ueang Agri-Nature Centre, and shows Thailand’s Sufficiency Economy Philosophy as a practical way of living.
On Day 1, Monday 9 November, the group leaves the Golden Jubilee Museum of Agriculture Office by private transport for Mab Ueang. After a guided walk through the demonstration landscape, there are four hands-on sessions: Restore the Soil, Grow Forests for Life, Reclaim Community Health and Create for Household Self-Reliance. The night is spent in simple accommodation at the centre. On Day 2, Tuesday 10 November, private transport continues to Suan Loong Choke Bamboo School for the Convergence.
The price is 3,450 baht per person. It includes private transport from the museum to Mab Ueang and on to Suan Loong Choke, lunch and dinner on 9 November, breakfast on 10 November, one night of basic accommodation, and all facilitation and activity materials.
To book, message BD Sang of Pilgrimage Asia on WhatsApp or email pilgrimageasia.op@gmail.com. Registration and full payment are due by 25 October 2026. At least 15 confirmed participants are needed. If that number is not reached, the excursion is cancelled and payments are refunded, less any non-recoverable transaction fees. Full payment confirms your place. Payments are not refunded if you cannot attend, but you may transfer your booking to another person by telling the organiser in advance.
