Permaculture Workshop IPC16 · Edge Event

After the IPC16 Convergence, Faasai Resort and Spa in Chanthaburi offers a four-day tour of a working permaculture resort by the sea. The package is 6,000 baht and includes three nights of accommodation, food, transport from the Convergence to Faasai, and the activities below. It is hosted by Bronwen Evans. Faasai hosted the Thai Permaculture Convergence in 2022.

Garden: explore the resort’s edible garden, visit the sacred Bodhi tree and meet the free-roaming chickens. Farm: visit White Water Lake Eco Farm, Spice Garden and Nature Sanctuary, a few minutes from the resort, where herbs and fruit grow among wild varieties and cows graze in the orchard. Agarwood: a sustainable plantation of 300 trees that store carbon and contain a precious medicinal aromatic oil.

Beach: relax by the pool or walk to the beach, and follow the coast road past seafood restaurants to the fishing village and viewpoints. Food: Chanthaburi forest cuisine made with organic herbs, plants and fruit from the resort farm, fresh local seafood and classic Thai dishes. Water: the water in the rooms and restaurant comes from a mineral spring. Community: meet the family, like-minded friends and local people.

Extra activities cost 500 baht each: a local cooking class, Thai massage, a tour of the Kung Krabaen mangrove bay research facility on foot or by kayak, the Royal Project, the aquarium, or a Superfood and Beauty Vitality workshop. You are welcome to extend your stay in the Kung Wiman beach area, and transport can be arranged to Chanthaburi town or Bangkok afterwards.
