Regenerative eco-resort and circular campus with an organic farm and food forest in Phato, Chumphon
Eco-Logic Thailand is an eco-resort and "circular campus" set among rainforest and fruit plantations in the village of Paksong, in Phato district, Chumphon, around 45 km from Ranong city. Running since 2004, it pairs a place to stay with a working organic farm and a learning environment focused on self-sufficiency and circular living. Stays here support the Thai Child Development Foundation (TCDF), whose visitor centre and school for children with special needs share the same campus.
The grounds bring together a vegetable farm, herbal plots, a mushroom farm, fish ponds and aquaponics, chickens and ducks, coffee shrubs, and a maturing food forest of edible plants and fruit trees. A Slow Food restaurant serves farm-to-fork meals using the campus's own produce where possible, and guests can join cooking classes, foraging and food-forest tours, yoga and meditation at a riverside shala, herbal steam sauna and massage, and trips to nearby waterfalls, rivers, hot springs and islands.
For those wanting to learn by doing, Eco-Logic offers a Helping Hands volunteering program and a range of month-long Share & Stay work-exchange placements in gardening, hospitality, yoga teaching, and photography/videography. Several placements include accommodation and three daily meals; the volunteering program is a paid-stay arrangement. The site also mentions internships for permaculture enthusiasts.
This is a regenerative, farm-and-food-forest learning and farmstay location rather than a permaculture school: there is no published Permaculture Design Course (PDC). It suits visitors who want hands-on organic-farming and food-forest experience, a wellness-focused jungle stay, or a volunteering placement with a social purpose.
