Thai author and poet behind Krua Raeron, the nomadic kitchen that cooks from what the land offers
Prae Jaru Thongkliang, known as Prae Jaru, is a Thai author and poet whose books include Delicious Reading and Joyful Eating. Her Krua Raeron, or Nomadic Kitchen, concept takes cooking out of the fixed kitchen and into the landscape, using local culinary traditions, foraged ingredients and shared meals to explore nature-centred living and creative expression.
At the Intuitive Suburbia workshop she leads the foraging walks through the 13-year polyculture forest, identifying edible leaves, shoots, flowers and herbs, and then guides the group through preparing a communal lunch from what was gathered.
